Simons needs your love
Monday, August 11, 2008 at 06:53PM Our little old man has a Wed morning appointment to get a urine culture to see if he has an infection on his kidneys. If he doesn't, we're going to have to have the awkward conversation with our vet about putting him to sleep.
He had a checkup this past Friday and all his test results came back significantly worse than his apt 6-months prior. His numbers were either way too high or way too low.
Ever since his seizure, he's aged 10+ years. He's lost the pink in his nose and is more frail than I've ever seen him. As the last trooper from Pennsylvania, he's lived an incredible life but Jen and I aren't going to be selfish and push his life past his own comfort.
Please keep our little old man in your thoughts this week.

him the thought of him continuing with all the pain he had to endure was more than
I could bear. I realized at that moment that when you love something as much as
I loved Fred then you have to let them go and I have no regrets with that choice.
I will always love my Fred, my baby boy, just has you and Jen love Simon and you
will always hold him close to your heart with fond memories.
